Conditions governing readership
Every figure on this site is a measurement, not advice. This page states plainly what The Tola Desk does, what it cannot do, and how it is paid.
Independent desk, not an adviser
The Tola Desk is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. Its subject is one measurement: a suggested retail price per gram published by a trade body, and every weight below is that price multiplied out, with the London metal beside it. The figures are taken from named public sources and republished with the date and the hour they were read. The desk does not recommend any purchase or sale, and it does not offer any investment product.
The reader decides alone and is responsible for their own decision. Nothing on this site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. A published price is a fact about a source at a moment, not a forecast and not a promise. The desk cannot tell a reader whether to buy, sell or hold, and it does not attempt to. Any reader who needs that kind of guidance should consult a licensed professional, not a measurement desk.
Sources and corrections
The sources are named under every table, with a link, so a reader can check the figure at its publisher. The desk reads the trade body's suggested retail price per gram and the London metal price from their own pages, not from each other, and records the hour of reading. A figure that is wrong is corrected, and the correction is dated. Writing to the address on the contact page reaches the desk. Corrections are the reason the address exists: [email protected].
The desk does not invent figures, and it does not adjust them. If a source publishes a number that looks odd, the desk still reports it and notes the source. The reader can follow the link and see the same number. If a source changes its page, the desk updates the reading and marks the new hour. The responsibility for a measurement sits with the publication's editorial desk, The Tola Desk research desk, which reads the sources, checks the arithmetic, and answers corrections.
No reader tracking
The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser. A visitor can read every page without giving a name, an email address or a phone number. The desk does not collect personal data, and it does not sell or share any data because it has none to sell or share.
The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs. Those logs exist to keep the site running, not to identify readers, and the site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them. The desk cannot see who is reading, and it does not try. If a reader writes to the address above, the desk sees that message and replies, but the address itself is not added to a list.
How the desk is paid
The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker. The commission is paid by the broker out of its own revenue, not by the reader, and it does not change any price shown on this site. The affiliate relationship is stated again here: the desk is paid only if a reader clicks that link and opens an account, and the desk has no other income from readers.
The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. The Tola Desk does not control the broker, does not hold the broker's money, and does not see the reader's account. A reader who does not want to use the broker can still read every figure on this site; the link is an option, not a condition.
